For sale via e-Bay:
1962 Roman Red Corvette has both soft and hard top. Soft top is in good condition and is white. Hard top was recently refurbished and is also roman red. I purchased the car from a dealer who purchased the car from an individual in Idaho, who owned the car for twelve years. Prior to that the history is unknown. When I bought the car it had an unmatching block, the motor was a newer "Vette" motor with vortex heads - someone put the wrong balance wheel on the motor and the vibration ruined the cylinders. I replaced the motor with a four bolt 383 cubic inch stroker motor with 202 heads, balanced and printed. Motor has less than 2,000 miles. I have only driven the car six times, I didn't want to drive it until some improvements were made. I reccomend new body mounts behind the doors, there seems to be some sagging and the top of the doors are rubbing the paint when closing. Car has good paint although there are some chips that need touch up. There has been some body work in the past in front of the drivers door. I haven't noticed any other body work. I think the right front upper wheel bearing needs replacing. Left front wheel has a brake fluid leak. This car is mostly original and is a great running car and fun to drive. I don't think you'll find this much '62 "Vette" for this price anywhere else. |
